Hong Kong, 22 November 2007 – Leading Singapore-based logistics and supply chain management company YCH Group today garnered the Asian 3PL of the Year award at the Supply Chain Asia Logistics Awards 2007 held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. The awards recognize and honour the best logistics service providers in Asia.

YCH was awarded the accolade based on a comprehensive list of criteria including the ability to understand clients’ needs; the ability to customize solutions for clients; range of specialized services on offer; size of transport and warehouse network; IT capability; level of local knowledge of developing Asian markets and cost of services.

The award was open to companies with global headquarters located in an Asian country. Five finalists were selected through online and offline voting through Supply Chain Asia’s weekly e-newsletter and a form in the July issue of Supply Chain Asia magazine. All ballots were tracked to ensure that only one vote per individual was cast and to ensure companies cannot vote for themselves. A panel of independent judges from the industry then selected the final winner based on a 200-word write-up submitted by the companies on why they feel they should win the award. Other finalists in the category included APL Logistics, Kerry Logistics, Linfox and Toll Group.
YCH’s latest win comes on the back of a breakthrough year for the company, which was recently awarded the coveted Best Domestic Logistics Service Provider and Best IT/Electronics Logistics Service Provider of Singapore at the 2nd Annual Frost & Sullivan ASEAN 4 Logistics Awards. Its Chairman and CEO Dr. Robert Yap has also been named Logistics Entrepreneur Of The Year for the upcoming Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards Singapore 2007.
