Located on the fringe of the business district, and Singapore’s economic hub, on the 17th floor in International Plaza on Anson Road, a stone’s throw from major banks, shops, shipping lines and the Port of Singapore Authority and Singapore Customs. Also located in International Plaza is a private hospital and swimming pool on the 36th floor. Tanjong Pagar MRT runs next to International Plaza making it really convenient for staff and clients to access Liner Shipping’s office. The immediate neighbourhood of Tanjong Pagar has supermarkets, wet markets and food centres as well as up market theme restaurants and pubs and commercial service offices. “We want to ensure our clients are not inconvenienced unnecessarily by too much traveling to process their shipping documentation or perform banking transactions. Hence we located our office near such amenities and facilities since Liner Shipping’s inception,” explained Robin on the choice of locating Liner Shipping’s office at International Plaza.

Liner Shipping Pte Ltd has a staff force of over 40 spanning administration, shipping, logistics, transportation, warehousing, finance and marketing. We have divided our operations into 4 sections, with each section headed by a Manager. These section heads report to (Jessica Tan), General Manager. “I believe in staff welfare. a) In 1992 when the Nagasaki Spirit and the Ocean Blessing collided in the Straits of Malacca, Liner Shipping Pte Ltd has been notably active in liaison with both carriers concerned. All cargo was lost. But with the involvement of Liner Shipping Pte Ltd, cargo owners soon secured their rightful claims and compensation from relevant insurance Companies. What expedited the settlement was Liner Shipping Pte Ltd’s consistent and constant feedback of the situation to cargo owners who loaded on Ocean Blessing. Liner Shipping Pte Ltd gave almost real time situational feedback and assisted in areas that they were experienced in. Shippers were indeed very pleased with the value added services they received.

Today, these shippers are still shipping with Liner Shipping Pte Ltd, only this time round, more cargo are being entrusted to Liner Shipping Pte Ltd. b) During the 1991 Gulf War, Liner Shipping Pte Ltd was instrumental in ferrying war supplies needed by the US military. These supplies were air flown from Australia to Singapore. After its repacking under strict supervision, they were shipped to Saudi Arabia, mainly by Sea-Land, an US based carrier. The escorted cargo arrived on time at the desired destination. The US and its allied forces won the Gulf War. This was history in the making. Liner Shipping Pte Ltd is always proud to be part of that historic moment.

In recent months, we have purchased a private warehouse in UBI Techpark. It is a contemporary design and modern industrial building complete with full industrial park facilities. Located amidst a people-friendly environment, it has a working atmosphere that is both convenient and pleasant.

Functionality of the building is excellent. There are ample loading and unloading bays and facilities. We can load and unload directly into and out of our warehouse.
